About Valerie
Registered Clinical Counsellor, MC, RCC
Valerie supports individuals navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship struggles. Her approach is steady and compassionate, creating space for clients to feel heard, reflect deeply, and move toward meaningful change at their own pace.
She has a strong focus in the area of disordered eating and body image. Valerie helps clients untangle their relationship with food, movement, and self-worth — especially those who feel caught in patterns of guilt, shame, or perfectionism. Her work is grounded in helping people step away from rigid rules and harsh self-judgment, and toward a more peaceful and trusting relationship with themselves.
Valerie also works with clients navigating perimenopause and other major life transitions. As a parent of four, she understands the emotional demands of parenting and brings that lived experience into her work with caregivers and families.
Her style is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded — with room for honesty, curiosity, and lightness when it’s needed.
There’s no expectation to have everything figured out — just a willingness to show up and begin.
