About Valerie Hamilton
Registered Clinical Counsellor, MC, RCC
I work with individuals and couples navigating change, uncertainty, and the complexities of relationships. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded, creating space to feel heard, reflect deeply, and move toward meaningful change at your own pace.
I work extensively with couples, supporting partners in improving communication, working through conflict, and rebuilding trust and connection. Whether you're navigating a specific issue or simply feeling stuck, couples work offers a collaborative and honest space to work things through together.
For individuals, I support clients through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the emotional demands of parenting. As a parent of four, I bring real lived experience into my work with caregivers and families.
I have a particular focus in disordered eating and body image, helping clients untangle their relationship with food, movement, and self-worth, especially those caught in patterns of guilt, shame, or perfectionism, and toward a more peaceful, trusting relationship with themselves.
My style is collaborative, thoughtful, and direct, with lightness and humour sprinkled throughout. There's no expectation to have everything figured out, just a willingness to show up and begin.
